Introducing the Teenage Engineering Choir a set of eight handcrafted wooden dolls designed to serenade you with a range of choral classics and perform your own original compositions through midi over Bluetooth. Each doll sold separately, and they each bring their unique vocal tonality to the choir.
The Choir features mezzo sopranos Gisela and Hatshepsut, Leila as soprano, Ivana sings alto, and Olga a warm contralto. Miki is our soaring tenor, Bogdan brings the bass, and Carlo sings in a bold baritone.
With a built-in repertoire of songs created using an algorithm based on counterpoint melody, each doll can detect its fellow choral members through Bluetoothsignals and communicate what and how to sing. Simply tap a doll on the head to start or stop the entire choir, and tilt any doll to adjust the volume.
The MIDI compatibility is where the magic really happens. Conduct your Choir with OP1 field, OPZ, or any MIDI keyboard with Bluetooth connectivity, or connect Ortho Remote for wireless control. Each set will be a one-of-a-kind experience.
Each doll is crafted from natural wood, making each one truly unique in terms of wood grain and height (ranging from 7.9 to 11.2 inches and from 2 to 5.1 inches in diameter). And with 3-4 hours of continuous singing time per doll, per charge, and the ability to stay charged for 1 month while idle, the Teenage Engineering Choir is a must-have for any music lover.
