The Taylor 816ce is a powerful Grand Symphony acoustic electric guitar that delivers a rich, expansive voice with exceptional balance and projection. Its larger body shape produces a deeper low end and broader dynamic range than smaller Taylor models, making it ideal for players who want a full, piano-like response for both strumming and fingerstyle work.
Constructed with a solid Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, this model offers a mature, harmonically complex tone with clear articulation and strong sustain. The 2011-era CV bracing design has a fuller, deeper and rounded character than modern V-bracing, which makes this a great all-rounder, suited to strumming, fingerpicking and live use.
This 2011-built guitar is in great condition, with light playwear thourghout (and some very minor lacquer-level dings and pickwear), and a gorgeously aged Sitka spruce top. It has a very open, touch-sensitive tone with great harmonic complexity and balance. It’s a really versatile instrument, with huge headroom and dynamic range, and wonderful note separation. A beautifully-appointed workhorse that does it all! Includes original hardshell case.
