A proprietary preamp tames the harshness of traditional piezos and incorporates soundhole-mounted controls: Volume, Tone and a versatile Mid-Contour knob. The result is consistent, stage- ready tone thats easy to shape for any setting from solo caf gigs to large-venue performances.
The latest version of the 814ce a quintessential Taylor model updates a modern classic, combining the musical versatility of a cutaway Grand Auditorium with the sonic fidelity and full- range voice of Indian rosewood and incorporating our new next-gen features. Scalloped bracing, together with the Action Control Neck, accentuates rosewoods natural lows, brings more fullness to the mids, and enhances the richness in the top end.
