Richard Hoover worked closely with Scott Law to come up with what Scott called abulls-eye recipe for a responsive, playful dreadnought with a dynamic range that can hold its own in ensemble settings. Toaccommodate his diverse musical styles, Scott needed a seriousinstrument that would cut through with clear low end, but with thewarmth and trebles needed for pristine solo work. In Scotts own words,we werent going for a signature model from the outset, we just endedup designing a killer guitar with my name on it. I totally respect theconsistency and build quality the SCGC shop puts out. I have three oftheir instruments, plus, its just a great family of folks running asmall, sustainable shop that are super fun to hang out with. Made it aneasy choice.
