The GENEHACKMAN was developed by Chuck French (Git Some/Wovenhand), with the help of Kurt Ballou (God City/Converge) and John Snyder (Electric Audio Experiments).
It is a colored boost/overdrive/distortion/fuzz unit, with 2 channels.
Channel 1: The firstchannel (right stomp) is a germanium transistor flavored sound – the vintage distortion sounds of classic rock. It sounds pretty tuff, it’s true, but he has a gentle side. Tread lightly upon your strings and he responds gently, warmly pulling you in for a hug. But if you dig in a little and attack your strings with any amount of force, he’ll gladly answer the call and provide all the crunch/fuzz you need (depending on where you have the tone selector set)
Channel 2: The second stage of the GENEHACKMAN is a FET based affair, giving you more volume and gain when engaged, and it has it’s own volume control. When both channels are active the CLIP SWITCH on top comes into the action. Select between no clipping diodes for a fuller louder sound, or turn on the clipping diodes for a smoother distortion sound. The other cool part about having both channels on is that both volume knobs become interactive, giving more tonal options.
9V power only. No battery option. All jacks mounted on top for more pedalboard space.
