Uses the style and techniques of Gary Davis – made to order to play Armstrong tunes on guitar. Davis was in his prime during the Jazz Age and his playing shows it. He played like a band; you can hear the drive of Armstrong as well as Louis’s bugle call riffs. His thumb played the rhythmic sections of the band while his index finger soloed over this. Rev.
