The Crazy Tube Circuits Crossfire is one of the most convincing Blackface-inspired pedals out there. The preamp section transforms any clean amp into a Blackface-style Fender: that characteristic mid-scoop, the rich 3D bass, and the open, sparkling highs are all there. Even the most mid-heavy amps in our shop immediately acquired that unmistakable Blackface character. And the preamp side is just the beginning.

The overdrive section delivers TS-inspired blues sounds that perfectly complement the Blackface preamp: mid-heavy, warm, and expressive, just as SRV would want it. The built-in effects loop allows you to place other pedals between the overdrive and preamp for maximum flexibility. Additional dipswitches let you further refine the gain structure and clipping type. An ingenious and versatile pedal that sounds like you’ve put a complete vintage Fender setup into a stompbox.
