Dressed with a 2-Tone Vibein Sonic Blue andBrown this is easily the best-looking amp we have in the shop! Carr did a fantastic job designing the look of this amp, with some classic aesthetics borrowed from the 50s, 60s, and 70s combined for a timeless look.
This is an All Tube 10 Watt Combo with a built-in attenuator. It can easily drop down to what I call Television Level: an appropriate volume one can easily speak over if necessary. The Attenuator acts just like a master volume but lets the dynamics breathe more. A Carr Valiant 60 Watt 12″ Speaker provides enough headroom for the amp to do its thing.
The 6BM8 Tubes are a lesser-known option but they are the perfect choice for these low-watt applications. Since they function like a 12AT7 triode but with a low wattage plate dissipation pentode in one, they not only power the amp but help shape its tone as well.
