Built by the Gibson Custom Shop in 2005, the Eric Clapton Crossroads ES-335 is a meticulously crafted recreation of Claptons famed 1964 Cherry Red ES-335, one of the most recognisable semi-hollow guitars in rock history. Limited to just 250 instruments worldwide, this example is number 7 in the series, representing the finest level of Gibson Custom craftsmanship and attention to vintage accuracy.
The Crossroads ES-335 features a laminated maple body with a solid maple centre block, paired with a one-piece mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard adorned with small block inlays. Two Gibson Burstbuckers capture the warm, articulate tone of the original, delivering smooth sustain and dynamic response across all registers. Finished in a hand-aged Cherry Red lacquer with period-correct hardware, Custom truss rod cover, Hare Krishna decal to the rear of the headstock, and signed Certificate of Authenticity, this guitar stands as both a collectors piece and a world-class players instrument, honouring one of the most influential artists in electric guitar history.
This guitar is in excellent condition and is internally and externally original, including all the original case candy, paperwork and ‘making of’ DVD.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at theVintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty. This guitar also includes the original Gibson hard case with reproduction Cream stencils.
