Up for sale, a 2004 Garnet Guillotine in near-mint condition and in perfect working order. Designed by tube amp pioneer Gar Gillies, the Guillotine is a point-to-point, tube-driven preamp and distortion box offering exquisite chord definition, a very flexible three-band EQ, and a Treble Boost switch. Historically produced in very small quantities, Guillotine production is currently suspended, making these elusive boxes even rarer.
At the heart of this unit are a pair of 12AU7 tubes, and the three-band EQ consists of Treble, Mid, and Bass controls. This preamp can be conveniently utilized as the second channel on any amp, allowing for the seamless transition between natural, clean tones and cranked gain at the tap of a remote bypass footswitch (not included).
Theres barely a mark on the enclosure, and the graphics are pristine. The serialized sticker is present on the side, and the bottom of the unit is signed and dated to 2004.
