One of Fenders most popular (and since discontinued) USA-made vintage reissue models, this Tele is faithful to 52 Blackguard spec, boasting a gloss Butterscotch Blonde nitro lacquer finish and upgraded with Custom Shop ’51 Nocaster pickups.
Weighing 7lbs 12oz, the ash body and one-piece maple neck result in a lively, resonant acoustic platform with plenty of midrange detail and punch. Rewired for modern wiring (Bridge, Bridge + Neck, Neck), this Tele features an upgraded pair of Fender’s Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups. These single coils feature flush mount Alnico 3 magnets and a tin-plated copper baseplate on the bridge pickup, black fiber bobbins, and cloth-covered leads. These pickups can chime and twang with the best, with a distinctive sound in each pickup position.
