For your consideration, a 2018 PRS SE Mark Holcomb signature model. This is a lot of guitar for the money, and a fitting signature model for a player with such a huge, unmistakable sound. We are fans of Holcomb, and we are fans of this model. It is a serious instrument with a modern feel, a fast neck, and the kind of performance-minded design that makes it easy to see why these have developed such a strong following.
This one has been played and has seen some shows, but do not let that scare you off. It feels nicely broken in, not beat to death. The tuners have been upgraded to locking units, which is always a welcome improvement. The electronics are otherwise 100% original and working exactly as they should. The neck is straight, the truss rod works in both directions, and fretwear is minimal with no effect on playability or intonation. There are some honest bumps, bruises, dings, and a bit of rust on some of the screws, but nothing out of the ordinary for a guitar that has actually been used instead of hiding in a closet.
Freshly set up and restrung, this one is ready to get back to work with no excuses. And yes, we have been known to call this finish Brisket Burst around here. Something about that purple smoke-ring look just works. No case is included.
