1955 Gibson Super 400C Archtop Guitar – Natural

Beautifully well kept example of a mid 1950s Gibson Super 400C in desirable Natural finish. This guitar, Serial # A 21438 / FON # W7489, displays beautiful figured maple with great movement and character on the back, sides and back of neck. There are no cracks or repairs to the body to mention. The replaced pick guard, two small holes on the bass side / bottom of the neck where there was almost certainly a pickup attached at some point and a re-fret are the only alterations. The neck is great shape, the truss rod functions properly, the original nut is intact and still partially lacquered over on both sides. This guitar truly plays fantastic and projects all the great tone and charm these old Gibson archtops are known for. Comes complete with its original brown case and weighs in at 6 lbs 6 oz.
