Ian Thornley is a monster guitar player from the band Big Wreck! His signature model was one of the most anticipated models Suhr has ever released. Now Ian and Suhr are back with this tribute to his main touring axe!
This one starts on the Classic S shape. It has an Alder body. Resonant and brimming with tone! The neck is Roasted Maple with aRoasted Maple Fretboard. The neck has Ian’s signature V shape and .875-.970 taper. Its comfy in any position and a joy to play with aflat 16″ radius and massive Jumbo Stainless Steel frets.
The pickups were also a change from Ian’s JM model. These are a custom blend ofAldrich SignatureSuhrHumbuckers and an Suhr ML Singlein HSH configuration. The switching is a Master Volume and 2 Tones with a 5-way blade with innovative selections. This is further enhanced with Series/Parallel Push/Push controlsfor both humbuckers!
This was finished inSonic White with a perfectly aged Nitro lacquer! Worn in all the right places, this guitar looks like it just came off tour!
